Two Different Looks of the Same Bridge
These two watercolors are from a photo I took back in 2008. This covered bridge is in Western Pennsylvania where I used to live. The season I decided to paint for both of them is Late Summer Early Fall, when the leaves are just starting to turn.
This side view one is very close to what the photo looks like .
For this head on view I changed the area around the bridge. I took out the stone wall on the left and added fence posts. I also changed trees and added another fence on the right. The distant bg is also different. I hope you enjoy the quietness of these two paintings as there was no one around when I took these photos. Thanks for viewing, please leave a comment if you like.

Nora, I think these are both just lovely. The tinges of yellow and orange in the greenery are perfect.
ReplyDeleteHi, Nora,
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful, but a different angle shows different images. Very interesting. Mood, colours and shadow are nice.
