The Barn

It seems I taken a little vacation from this blog and haven't posted on it in the last couple of weeks. Well I have started painting watercolors again. Here is the latest one that I just finished.  It is from a photo provided by my Painting Friend, Lil from WC ref file. Thankyou Lil and Wet Canvas. I painted this for a value study we are doing in our Painting Friends forum. I wish I had gotten the sides where the sun is hitting just a little lighter, so more contrast. This is watercolor done on Arches 140 cp, 11"by 14". I hope this doesn't bring to many bad memories of the snow last winter for the folks up north.  Thanks for viewing everyone and let me know what you think.

  7. This is an excellent piece, Nora. The green in the foreground draws the viewer's eye into the painting and towards the barn. It's a clever compositional element...lovely colours and sense of light too, well done!
