My Lily

  Happy New Year

I decided to hold this painting so that I could begin 2011 with this watercolor of my cat,  Lily.  This is from one of my photos of her laying in the light. Which by the way is one of her favorite things to do.  I have been meaning to paint this for a while since I love the play of shadow on her body and the floor.  I hope it brings joy this day to all of you.  And thankyou all for your support and comments through out the year.  I really appreciate all your feed back.

  1. Ooh. The light and shadow are beautiful! I was reading somewhere that the mark of an experienced artist is the ability to leave 'suggested' lines, where the light is so bright you really don't see a line, and you've done that so beautifully! The shadows are lovely too! Very nice start to your 2011!

  8. Thankyou Christiane super 2011 to you too.

Ann I will take a photo of it matted and framed, hope to have it done soon. I always put off having them matted and framed, so I have alot of paintings just sitting around.

    Thankyou Hilda
