Lauren

My Painting Friend Cindi and myself challenged ourselves to do a portrait in watercolor working vertically.  We chose this beautiful photo of a little girl named Lauren, with permission from a friend in another forum, Thank you Deb S. we proceeded.  I think I could of pushed her face back a little with more darks but overall very happy with the outcome.  Please enjoy this delightful child and hope to hear comments.

 Thanks again for looking

  1. Gosh, Nora. You did a beautiful job on Lauren. I thought she might be a grandchild as there is something about her that reminds me of you...the eyes or the mouth...maybe the smile.

  4. Hi Nora... I am so happy to meet you here... I have been so busy since... I was working on more than two projects and they overlapped ... I was so stressed and working very hard I didn´t have time to paint or post anything ... but I miss painting and I miss everyone ... I´m almost finished now ... so I will definitely go back to painting friends and the twenty minutes challenge...
I love the portrait you have done... I enjoyed your blog a lot and I love the light and darks in your still life paintings , still delicate but with stronger contrast... just beautiful

  6. LOvely portrait when I first looked at it I felt sure you knew who the sitter was because I see an inner quality shinning out when I read you did not know the child I could hardly believe it. Read your profile and like what you aim to do with art. If it is ok with you I will follow your blog with interest.
